Progressive Writers Association (PWA) is organising a condolence meeting to remember Hameed Akhtar, the progressive movement leader, writer, wordsmith, intellectual, well-known journalist and secretary of Progressive Writers Association, who was passed away on October 16, 2011.
The meeting is scheduled on December 17 at 4pm, at Karachi Press Club backyard in collaboration with KUJ and Irtiqa Institute of Social Sciences. The convenors of the occasion are Irtiqa Institute President Wahid Bashir, PWA Deputy Secretary General Rahat Saeed, and KUJ Secretary Hassan Abbas.-PR
