Former Pakistan People's Party (PPP) stalwart Syed Iftikhar Hussain Gilani on Monday held an hour long one-on-one meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan. The meeting took place at the residence of Dr Shireen Mazari, PTI Vice President Foreign and Security Affairs, in which unfolding political scenario and message of change and fight against corruption came under discussion.
They also discussed that how the fight against corruption could be strengthened by taking like minded politicians onboard, which is the only way forward to steer the country out of the present crisis. Gilani may join PTI along with a group of his followers from Kohat after January 7, sources said. Gilani is a renowned lawyer-cum-politician, who parted ways with the PPP after developing differences with late Benazir Bhutto over allotment of party tickets in 2002.
