SRB collecting Rs 2 billion taxes per month

The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) is collecting Rs 2 billion taxes per month. "So far we have collected Rs 8 billion and by the end of current month Rs 10 billion collection would be made," SRB Chairman Nazar Hussain Mahar told a high-level meeting regarding National Finance Commission issues held here at the Chief Minister's House on Monday.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah presided over the meeting, which was also attended by Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Co-ordinator Kaisar Bengali, Secretary Finance Sindh Naveed Kamran Baloch, Special Secretary to CM Hafeezullah Abbasi and Special Secretary Finance Suhail Rajput.
The meeting reviewed the progress of devolution of departments after 18th Amendment and it was decided that the problems and issues confronting it would be resolved on priority basis. The Chief Minister said that there were certain departments which had been devolved and only the funds were to be transferred. Qaim stressed on further efforts to improve collection of taxes.-PR
