At least two persons including an estate agent were fallen prey to targeted killing spree in separate incidents here on Monday. According to police and rescue sources, a real estate agent was shot dead while other injured at Perfume Chowk Gulistan Jauhar in the limits of Sharah Faisal police station.
The incident took place at Perfume Chowk Gulistan Jauhar where 35-year-old Faisal Tanoli son of Shehzad was targeted while going to have lunch with his friend Babar, 32, son of Shabbir on a car. Both victims received bullet injuries. However, Faisal succumbed to his injures on the way to hospital.
Later, the body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim Faisal, who was the resident of Rabia City and used to run an estate agency at Rabia City, might have been murdered over land dispute. Police had later handed over his body to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A bullet-riddled body of 40-year-old man was found from Bihar Colony Lyari in the limits of Chakiwara police station. The victim, who was later identified as Aslam alias Mani, a resident of Sher Shah, was kidnapped when he was on the way to home from his elder brother's house located in Chakiwara. Later, the kidnappers shot him dead after applying brutal torture exercise on him and threw the same at Street 7 Bihar Colony Lyari.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim, who was labour by his profession and lived in Chakiwara with his brother, had no political and religious affiliations. The body was later handed over to his elder brother and police registered a case against unidentified men on the complaint of his brother Shera.
