Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology is organising 14th IEEE International Multitopic Conference (INMIC 2011) in association with IEEE Karachi Chapter here December 22-24. The conference will provide a scientific forum for Pakistani and international researchers to report recent results in the areas of engineering, sciences and technologies.
The 3-day conference, sponsored by Higher Education Commission (HEC) and National ICT and R&D Fund, will facilitate candid discussion of new ideas, research, development and applications, including techniques and methods to stimulate and inspire pioneering work.
Around 15 international guest speakers have consented to participate in the conference and cover the areas of Distributed and Grid Computing, Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing Algorithms, Tools Applications and Web Technologies, Wireless and Network Security, Artificial Intelligence, Power Electronics and Control Engineering, FPGA and Semiconductor Material 7 Devices, Bio Medical and Bio information Security, Computer Graphics and Image Processing and Software Engineering and Database Warehouse.
"The objective of the conference is to acquire high quality papers from local and foreign researchers for publication as conference proceedings and provide opportunities to students and young engineers to have inter-action with them to pursue research and development work in the fields of their interest", conference sources said.
Pakistani computer scientist and entrepreneur, Professor Umar Saif of Lahore University of Management Sciences will be the keynote speaker who will talk on "Networks for the "other" 4 Billion" which is to cater for fundamental challenges in the developing world like Enhancing Internet Bandwidth for low-bandwidth users and Improving connectivity between people who are not connected to the Internet will be addressed.-PR
