Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) will launch a 'Save Peshawar' campaign on Monday (tomorrow) in the provincial metropolis to create awareness and increase contact with the people in the district, said JUI-F Ameer, district Peshawar Qari Rafiq while speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club, here on Saturday.
He said that the campaign would be launched with the staging of a protest camp at historical Chowk Yadgar. People of the district were facing different problems as no practical steps had been taken for their resolution.
He said that people were feeling insecure in present poor law and order situation, whereas the problems of traffic, basic health facilities and growing transportation issues have made people's life miserable. He said the rulers had failed to deliver to poverty-stricken masses, saying none of single mega project was initiated by the present government and taking credit of the schemes launched in former MMA regime. He said that the masses awareness and contact drive would be carried out from December 20 to January 5th in different Union Councils of the province under the proposed 'Save Peshawar' drive.
