Low literacy rate strengthening militancy in Fata: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar, has said religion of Islam teaches peace, progress and prosperity and there is a need that our educational institutions must focus on students to make them good Muslims, and balanced and progressive citizens.
Both Pakistan and Turkey, he added, because of their approach and achievements in providing better educational, health and social care services to their citizens could rightly described the modern nations and they should learn more by sharing their experiences.
He was addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the newly constructed hostel-cum-mess of Khubaib College; a subsidiary institution of Turkish philanthropists run, Khubaib Foundation in District Haripur on Saturday. It must be mention here that a vast majority of the students, studying in the college are comprised children of those who had lost their lives in the recent devastated floods and in earthquake-2005.
The ceremony was also addressed by the Islamabad-based Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Babur Hizlan, a former chief minister and member of the provincial assembly Pir Syed Sabir Shah, Turkish philanthropists, Murad Yilmaz and Hussayin Captain and the Chairman of the Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan.
Barrister Masood Kausar said that the Pakistanis are deeply imbued with the spirit of love and affection towards their Turkish brethren and the level of progress, which the people of the Republic of Turkey have achieved in various fields of life, is indeed highly inspiring for us in Pakistan. Both leaders, he added, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto were the great admirers of the modern Turkey and they used to see the modern Pakistan in Turkey.
The Governor also highlighted the situation in Fata and said that 60 percent of its population is comprised youths and low literacy rate had resulted in the growing of militancy and extremism. He also appreciated the working of the Khubaib College and said that there is a need that the philanthropists from the Republic of Turkey should also come forward and help in the establishment of the similar institutions in Fata as well.
Earlier, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Pakistan Bubar Hizlan said, that complete function of the college in a short span of time is a great pleasure for them and its aim to serve the under privileged children.
The Turkish philanthropists, who have taken the responsibility to run this institution, he added, are hailing from Bursa, which was the first capital of Turkey during the times of Khilafat. Thus, he said, this college bears special historic importance as well.
Murad Yalmiz and Hussayin, the renowned philanthropists of Turkey as well as Nadeem Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Khubaib Foundation also spoke on this occasion.
Students of the college also presented skits to depict salient features of the culture in Pakistan, besides presenting national anthems of both the countries. A group of the students of Mazaffarabad-based Khubaib College also displayed marshal art and received applause from the audience.
