International Diabetes conference on December 10

President-elect of International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Sir Michael Hirst will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of International Diabetes Conference on December 10 (Saturday). The moot, jointly organised by National Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology (NIDE) of Dow University of Health Sciences and Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP) will be attended by national as well as international experts of diabetology and endocrinology.
Organisers told APP on Wednesday that Dr Luc Hendrickx (Belgium), Dr Gordon Bunyan (Australia), Dr Anne-Marie Felton (UK), Dr Alieu Gaye, (Gambia), Susana Feria de Campanella (Uruguay), Professor Rhys Williams (UK), Professor Rayaz Malik (UK) will be among the speakers at the moot.
Professor V. Mohan (India), Dr Abdulla Hamaq (Qatar), Professor Adel El Syed (Egypt), Professor Helmut Schatz (Germany), Professor Vijay Vishwanathan (India) and Dr Subash Kumar Wangnoo (India) are to be among some of the other prominent participants of the conference. Senior diabetologists from different major hospitals and medical colleges and universities of the country will also attend the programme and conduct hands-on workshop for the young doctors, said the organisers.
