Munter meets Zardari

Published Updated

United States (US) Ambassador Cameron Munter on Tuesday met with President Asif Ali Zardari. The US Ambassador called on the President at Aiwan-e-Sadr to discuss a serious deterioration in US-Pakistan relations following Nato/Isaf attack on a Pakistani Checkpost, killing 24 soldiers.
Munter also conveyed an important message of US administration to President Zardari. The President said the participation of Pakistan in the war against terrorism should not be construed as its weakness. The President pointed out that Pakistan has rendered a lot of sacrifices in the war against terror but the government, army and the people have reservations on an intentional and unprovoked attack.
