Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch on Monday got back from Sudan after attending the general conference of Sudan's ruling National Congress party in Khartoum. During his weeklong visit, he called on Sudan's President Omer al Bashir and head of the Libyan interim council and revolutionary leader, Hassan Mustafa Abdul Jaleel.
In his meeting with the President Al Bashir, Baloch expressed solidarity with the Sudanese people on behalf of the JI, Pakistan. President Al Bashir told the JI leader that Sudan and Pakistan had strong ties, as both were Islamic states.
