Terming the resignation of opposition leader in the National Assembly from the office of Chairman Public Accounts Committee as 'no confidence on present assemblies,' acting speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan Monday said the assemblies which cannot safeguard the country should be dissolved.
Talking to media here, Rana slammed Nato-Isaf attacks in Mohmand Agency and said, "Had the resolutions of parliament implemented, no foreign power would dare carry out drone attacks and cowardly act like attack on check post in Mohmand Agency." He also criticised the PPP-led government for damaging the country's economy, which led to unprecedented price hike, massive load shedding and unemployment. He said corruption is rampant and people are leading miserable life due to inefficiency of the government. He said the PML-N is waging a just struggle to get rid off present corrupt regime. He claimed that countrymen are looking towards Mian Nawaz Sharif for steering the country out of prevailing crises. He said Nawaz is true patriot who declined to accept foreign dictates.
Meanwhile, Rana Mushood visited the residence of Shaheed Hawaldar Mohammad Aslam Bhatti who laid down his life in the Nato attack in Mohmand Agency. Talking to Mohammad Sarwar, the father of martyr, Rana said this bloodshed is the result of wrong policies of the former dictator.
