It is a matter of great delight that the Institution of Engineers, Pakistan, is holding the 44th Annual Convention of the Institution of Engineers, Pakistan from 23rd to 24thNovember 2011 at Lahore, along with International Seminar on " Energy Problems in South & Asian Countries-Causes & Solutions" in collaboration with the Federation of Engineering Institutions of South & Central Asia (FEISCA).
In this Seminar, renowned engineers and experts from abroad and within the country are presenting their valuable papers. To over come the ever-growing energy problems of Pakistan, I am sure the Seminar will definitely put forward useful suggestions/recommendations for the consideration and implementation by the Government, Public and Private Sector.
In view of the participation of several foreign member organizations, the Convention has assumed a great importance and it is fervently hoped that it will produce for reaching results towards the development of national economy and in the improvement of high technology which is the need of the hour.
I believe that through the Convention, strong regional bonding of the Engineering Institutions will be strengthened and recommendations from the different sessions will be a guideline for the development of this region. I am confident that the interaction of experts at such a high level will provide our engineers an opportunity to benefit from the expertise of the eminent participants. I congratulate theorganizers of the 44th Convention and the Seminar all success.
