Annual Convention is an important occasion in the life cycle of any Institution. In such Conventions, Engineers from all over the country as well eminent Engineers from foreign lands get together to deliberate on important current issues faced by the host countries. Organizing Committee comprising Engineers from IEP Headquarters and Lahore Local Centre who are managing the event are putting in their best efforts to make the occasion real success.
The Committee has chosen a very apt topic namely "Energy Problems in South Asian Countries - Causes & Solutions" in Collaboration with the Federation of Engineering Institutions of South and Central Asia (FEISCA), from 23rd to 24th November 2011. I am confident that the recommendations coming out of the deliberations will go a long way in spelling out ways and means to overcome energy problems in Pakistan and other countries of the region.
I take this opportunity to welcome delegates from brotherly countries and from within Pakistan who have taken the trouble of travelling to Pakistan to take active part in the various activities of the Convention for the ultimate good of the engineering fraternity and for tackling the energy crisis for the good of Pakistan.
WE welcome our respected guests from brotherly countries to the city of Lahore. Lahore has its own culture and history, I am sure the guests will find the visit to the historic sites extremely interesting. The typical Pakistani food as well as the friendly environment will be long remembered by them when they go back to their countries. I also take this opportunity to thank the IEP executives for making the Convention a huge success.
