Minor changes in modest trading on grain market

Modest trading was seen on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as most of the buyers kept on the sidelines to see the fresh developments, dealers said. On the cereal side makai low type shed Rs 25 to Rs 2100 while the best type was unchanged at Rs 2250, juwar lost Rs 100 to Rs 2100-2200, barley Sindh and Mardan was quoted at Rs 3250, wheat old and new Bardan gained Rs 5 to Rs 2685-2690 and 2700-2705, they said.
On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag low type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 950 while the good type maintained its overnight level at Rs 1000, they added. On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type shed Rs 10 to Rs 3140 while the best quality rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3225, Irri white broken low type was up by Rs 50 Rs 2500 and better quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 2600 due to improved demand, they said.
