On behalf of Sidat Hyder Morshed Associates, I extend my gratitude to all the sponsors, speakers, panellists and delegates who have supported Best Practices Day throughout the past 10 years and extend a warm welcome to BPD this year.
Best Practices Day was inspired by a passion to create a forum of learning through sharing, initiated in 2002. It was welcomed with open arms by the Grace of the Almighty and developed successfully over the years with the support of all the participants, providing organisations an ideal opportunity to share and exchange insights into their success and experience of achieving best practices in order to promote organisational success. This year we welcome all these participants to celebrate a decade of success in Karachi with us.
In a highly competitive business climate with constant change, individual organisations often strive to excel, trying to keep up with and exceed market standards in order to distinguish themselves from others. They endeavour to grow, and aspire to create a better future in an increasingly competitive business environment within both the local and global realms. In order to stay ahead and win, they must steer their Organization in the right direction, keeping up with the tides of change.
Success is driven through choosing the right strategy and identifying targets to achieve. This accomplishment is largely driven through the support of the organisations key asset, its people; and this support can be achieved through empowerment of employees, empathy to all our surroundings and rewarding commendable performance. Drawing inspiration from these key words, this year's theme for BPD is "STEER to win." We hope to provide a platform for the participants to learn from the best practices, ideas, experiences and success stories of the 'Best in Class Companies' across various industries in an effort to strengthen and upgrade corporate Pakistan. Once again, I would like to extend my gratitude to all the sponsors, speakers, panellists and delegates whose active participation and support has made it possible for us to organise this event.
