Trading on the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) was suspended earlier than normal closing time on Friday due to a technical fault that led to a disconnection of all the terminals in KSE building. The trading was suspended around 04:10pm against normal closing time of 04:30pm.
"Due to a technical fault and disconnection of all terminals in KSE building, all markets were suspended earlier than closing time on Friday," a KSE notice issued in the evening said. Consequently, it has been decided that the trading of Friday, November 11, 2011 and Monday, November 14, 2011 will be merged and settlement for both days will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, it added.
