PML-Q Like-minded may meet Nawaz after Eid

Like-minded and Independent groups of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) are likely to meet with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PNL-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Saharif after Eid-ul-Azha to discuss strategy for making an alliance with PML-N, it is learnt.
According to the sources, in this meeting, the members of Like-minded and Independent groups of PML-Q would discuses latest current political situation of the country and strategy to make an alliance with the PML-N and forthcoming Senate elections in March 2012.
The sources said that most of the members want to make an alliance with the PML-N by maintaining identity of their groups for forthcoming elections. However, sources said that some members want to unite scattered PML and are trying to efforts for this purpose. The source also said that some members of these groups are also approaching the emerging party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for coming elections.
However, the sources said that coming December is very important and the situation would be cleared in this month. When contacted, Senator Tariq Azeem of Independent group of PML-Q told Business Recorder that new alliances would be made before general elections. He said that the members of his group held meetings with Mian Nawaz Sharif in post and in future they would also hold meetings with Nawaz Sharif after Eid-ul-Azha.
He said: "We want to unite all parties of PML before Parliamentary elections." In this regard, he said that he personally is making efforts to unite the PML. Meanwhile, Mian Nawaz Sharif has returned home after his Turkey and London tours.
The sources said that Mian Nawaz Shairf would host a dinner in honour of the members of Like-minded and Independent groups of the PML-Q and for discussing the strategy of forthcoming elections of Senate and the National Assembly.
