Uganda's October coffee exports climbed 14.5 percent compared with the same month a year ago, beating expectations, boosted by a bumper harvest in eastern Uganda, a source at the state-run Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) said on Friday. The east African country shipped 215,315 60-kilogramme bags of the beans last month, up from 188,012 bags in October last year. Last month the board had predicted October exports to be 200,000 bags.
