Contract for walled city rehabilitation: LHC seeks reply in a petition
The Lahore High Court here on Friday sought reply from Punjab secretary Planning and Development and others by November 15 in a petition of a construction company challenging award of contract for Walled City rehabilitation Projection to another.
The petitioner-company Uni Build-Zeekhan through its counsel pleaded that it submitted tender and bid of Rs 690.98 million for Pilot Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Improvement Project (Dehli gate to Old Kotwali Walled City). He said under bid documents the employer may amend the bidding documents by communicating to all bidders in writing.
The petitioner said he was not informed in writing but director germinal of project telephonically informed him on bidding day that bidding will take place at 1pm. He said company representative rushed to employer office and submitted his documents but later his bid was declared non-responsive on the pretext that security deposit was not accompanied to bid documents.
