Confiscation of jailed cricketers' assets: LHC returns petition

The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Friday returned a petition seeking confiscation of assets owned by former captain of Pakistan cricket team Salman and two others Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Amir to the petitioner as he does not has locus standi.The petitioner a bar member Ishtiaq Chaudhry said that national and foreign assets of trio of cricket players be frozen.
He also stated that the players tarnished the image of country in the world by indulging them in spot fixing. He requested that action be taken against the three cricket players for committing a criminal breach of trust.
