HRW wheat bids steady

Published Updated

Hard red winter wheat basis bids were steady on Wednesday as country movement remained slow and demand held firm. Mill demand stayed strong with particular interest in higher-protein wheat supplies. Protein premiums for railcar wheat to and through Kansas City were five cents a bushel higher for 11.40 and 11.60 percent protein wheat and unchanged otherwise. Kansas City Board of Trade hard red winter wheat futures closed lower on Tuesday.
