Women entrepreneurs at roundtable conference have sought for provision of loans on easy terms and low mark-up through commercial banks and demanded for restructuring of credit system for them. The roundtable conference held under auspices of Women Business Development Centre (WBDC) for creation of awareness among skilled women about availability of loans to start and promote their business.
About 25 women entrepreneurs took part in the day long the roundtable conference here at Women Business Development Centre. Nabeela Farman, WBDC project Manager, in her welcome speech briefed the participants about various projects and operation activities of the centre. She said that the skilled women want to start their business at minor level, but can't do due to poor financial position.
Therefore, she said that the WBDC held an interactive session between bankers and skilled women to know more about availability of loans for promotion of their business. The Manager Operation, the First Women Bank Limited (FWBL), Zile Jannat and Khushali Bank, Credit Specialist, Jameel Arshad briefed the women entrepreneurs about terms and conditions and other essential information.
Zile Jannat, while briefing on the occasion said that the First Women Bank is providing loans on easy terms, saying that the loan from Rs 25, 000 to 500,000 are offered. She added that her bank is maximum facilitating women and provided loans on very easy terms to them.
She informed that the loans turnover is very swelled by facilitating maximum number of women through various financing schemes. She asked the women, especial entrepreneurs to fully take benefit from the loan scheme either promotion of their business or other purpose. Jameel Arshad, Credit Specilist, Khushali Bank Limited (KBL), on the occasion said that the bank is extending services for unprivileged segment, farmers, livestock and business development purpose.
