Chief Executive Officer of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Muhammad Wali has directed the field staff across to address the problems being faced by the customers on priority basis besides avoiding over-billing. He issued the instructions while chairing a conference of the Superintending Engineers (SEs) held at Wapda House. The meeting analysed the performance of circles during the last quarter.
The CEO of PESCO also took serious notice of increasing arrears of some sub-divisions especially in Mardan and Hazara circles. The increasing line losses in many areas were also pointed out in the meeting. The SEs were directed to reduce line losses and increase the recovery up to December 31, otherwise strict disciplinary action will be initiated against them. The CEO said that the increasing trend of electricity theft and kunda culture is unacceptable and directed to take power thieves and PESCO employees involved in power theft to the task.
