National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) North (N-5) killed two robbers in an encounter on Monday night. Spokesperson of NH&MP (N-5) told Business Recorder that NH&MP personnel killed two robbers who were trying to flee after committing robbery in a mobile shop of Rana Faiz Rasool.
Rana Faiz Rasool the owner of Waqar Mobile Shop informed NH&MP officer Sub-Inspector Abid Hussain that four unknown robbers committed robbery in his mobile shop and looted Rs 25000, mobile cards and approximately 15 mobile phones and rushed towards GT road in a Corolla car.
Sub-Inspector Abid Hussain flashed the massage to all patrolling officers through help line 130 to keep vigilant eye on the absconders/robbers. After a short time, NH&MP patrolling mobile signalled to stop the said Corolla car, but they did not stop. He further said that by taking prompt action, the said car was stopped by NH&MP officers at Mirike City just before PS Muridke on which the robbers opened indiscriminate firing on NH&MP officers.
NH&MP officers retaliated and as a result two robbers named Waqar s/o Nazir and Arsalan s/o Khalid Javed r/o Chak Shumali Sargodha died on the spot, while two others managed to escape, recovering one 222 rifle, one 30 bore pistol, Rs 6000, 05 mobile sets and a Corolla car from their possession. In this connection an FIR has been lodged u/s 392/186/148/149/353/302 PPC against the robbers at PS Muridke City. Inspector General Zafarullah Khan and Deputy Inspector General N-5 North Zone Abbas Hussain Malick appreciated the commendable and brave performance of NH&MP officers.
