The after-tax profit of Fauji Fertiliser Co (FFC) increased to Rs 13.834 billion in the nine-month period ended on September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 7.020 billion earned in the corresponding period of 2010. The company's earning per share (EPS) increased to Rs 16.31 against Rs 8.28 in the same period of last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held at Mexico City on October 29, 2011 recommended third interim cash dividend for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 at Rs 5.50 per share ie 55 percent. This would be in addition to first interim and second interim dividends already paid at Rs 4.50 per share ie 45 percent and Rs 4.75 per share ie 47.50 percent respectively.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 38.532 billion in nine months period of this year against Rs 28.505 billion in the same period of last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 16.539 billion against Rs 15.787 billion.
The company's distribution cost increased to Rs 3.253 billion against Rs 2.869 billion, finance cost reduced to Rs 602.512 million against Rs 837.633, while other expenses increased to Rs 1,791.491 million against Rs 975.022 million. The company's other income increased to Rs 4.392 billion against Rs 2.240 billion.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 20.738 billion in the nine-month period this year against Rs 10.275 billion in the same period of last year. On quarterly basis, the company's profit after taxation increased to Rs 5.646 billion in the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 1.919 billion in the same quarter last year.
