If all the spectacular technologies unveiled at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show were not enough, this aerial light show put up by 250 synchronized drones will surely fascinate us.

Apart from laptops and chips, Intel produced a magnificent view of 250 mini drones flying together doing aerial music dance, lighting up the skies of Las Vegas all during the song ‘Stargazing’ by Kygo playing in the background in order to create the moment.

Being the first drone light show during the world’s biggest tech conference, CES 2018, 250 Shooting Stars drones lit up the famous place of Las Vegas, the Fountains of Bellagio. The mesmerizing experience of 250 drones forming different shapes in sky left the audience speechless.

CES 2018 kicks off with some impressive tech products on display

As per Tech Juice, these Shooting Stars are self-flying aerial vehicles that use GPS sensors and navigation so that they do not crash into each other. Using Intel’s animation software, the fleet of drones is controlled by an algorithm where every drone stays on its own path and stays away from the airspace of the other drones. Because of the LEDs in them, the drones gave off glittering lights for the aerial show and all of the 250 were controlled by a single operator. The drones weigh around 300 grams and are exclusively designed for Intel’s light shows.

As per CNET, Intel’s drone light shows manager, Natalie Cheung said that the show was about using the sky as a 3D canvas for something creative. “It’s a new way of storytelling in the sky. It’s a different aspect of how you can merge tech and art together.”
