Government announces two Eid holidays

Federal Government on Monday announced 2 holidays of Eid-ul-Azha. Eid holidays will fall on November 7-8 while on November 9 will also be holiday in connection with Iqbal Day. Overall, government employees will enjoy a five-day long break from work as Eid is falling on Monday immediately after the two-day weekend.
The public holidays for Eid and Iqbal Day result in a five-day weekend starting from Saturday, November 5. Earlier this week the moon of the Islamic month of Zilhaj was sighted in Pakistan and Eid-ul-Azha and confirmed by the Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneebur Rehman.
