IMC's profit after tax rises

The profit after tax of Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased to Rs 937.484 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 577.409 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 11.93 in the period under review against Rs 7.35 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 17.146 billion in this quarter against Rs 14.343 billion in the same quarter last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 15.891 billion against Rs 13.456 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 1,407.326 million in this quarter against Rs 948.877 million in the same quarter last year.
