Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered rechecking of intermediate Part-I examination results of Intermediate and Secondary Education, and Higher Education Department has issued instructions to the chairmen of all the eight boards of education to start rechecking of all papers immediately.
According to an official here on Tuesday, it has further been decided that rechecking will be completely fair and no fee will be charged from any student. The process has been started and it will be ensured that all results are correct. Every answer sheet will be thoroughly scrutinised to ensure that no question is left unmarked, while the marks obtained will also be compared with award lists.
The total number of candidates will also be verified. All objective questions will be rechecked and errors will be removed. This checking will be undertaken by examiners and not computers. Four different teams in every board of education will work round the clock in different shifts, which have started performing their responsibility.
