Minster for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday evening said that necessary arrangements are being given final touches for bringing dead body of Begum Nusrat Bhutto to Pakistan. The date and time of burial would be announced by Sanam Bhutto and Bilalwal Zardari Bhutto and she will be laid to rest Ghari Khuda Bux near by Shaheed Z A Bhutto, she said.
Talking to Business Recorder she disclosed that under the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari government has declared three day official mourning on the sad demise of Begum Nusrat Bhutto while Pakistan Peoples Party would observe 40 days mourning in the country.
Paying rich tributes to late Begum Nusrat Bhutto the Information Minister said that great services rendered by her for the promotion of philosophy of Shaheed Z A Bhutto, and struggle for restoration of democracy would be remembered all times to come. It was Begum Bhutto who struggled for the women rights and brings women folk into politics in the country as well as established women wing in Pakistan Peoples Party Dr Firdous said.
She further added that late Nusrat Bhutto took active part along with Shaheed Z A Bhutto for sake democracy and strengthening democratic institutions in the country adding that after the Shahadat of Z A Bhutto she imparts political training to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for getting rid of martial law and tracking the country on road to democracy. The Bhutto family had rendered great scarifies for the cause of democracy and for the protection peoples right and present PPP leadership was working on the same lines for continuing the agenda, she said.
Information Minister further stated that PPP leadership was making adequate efforts to convert Pakistan into a real democratic country as dreamt by Shaheed Z A Bhutto. Dr Firdous Awan further said that PPP believes in democracy and making strenuous efforts for the promotion democracy at grassroots level and strengthening the democratic institutions. There was great need of collective efforts of all political parties to work for democracy, betterment of common man and prosperity of the country, she said.
