Indian-owned luxury car company Jaguar said Friday it was recalling almost 18,000 cars in Britain due to a problem with cruise control mechanisms. The problem affects diesel-engined X-type models manufactured from 2006 to 2010. Customers have received letters saying that, in some circumstances, the cruise control, if engaged, cannot be disengaged in the normal manner. A total of 17,678 Jaguar cars in Britain are involved in the recall.
