Three killed in city

At least three persons were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Thursday. According to the police, a rickshaw driver was shot dead at Seven Stars Society near Gannah Mandi within the limits of Sohrab Goth police station.
The incident took place at Seven Star Society situated at Sohrab Goth near Gannah Mandi, where 21-year-old Sher Khan, son of Roshan, was targeted when he was going in his rickshaw. He received two bullets and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. Police said the victim was the resident of Faqir Goth near Chakar Hotel Sohrab Goth and hailed from Waziristan.
They said the victim belonged to Mehsud Tribe and he might have been murdered over personal enmity. Police registered an FIR 645/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of victim's brother namely Gulab Khan. A 23-year-old man was killed while other injured when they offered resistance during robbery bid at Haroonabad in the jurisdiction of Pak Colony police station.
The incident took place at mill area quarters situated at Haroonabad where three bandits entered in the quarter and tried to loot money and valuable stuff from home but Bagh Ali, 23, son of Punal and his cousin Riyaz, 30, offered resistance. Resultantly, one of the bandits pulled out his weapon and opened indiscriminate gunshots on them, which left Bagh Ali killed and his cousin injured. Police registered an FIR 241/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of Riyaz and further investigation is in progress.
A scrap dealer namely Rashid Iqbal, 32, who got bullets wounds at Ibn-e-Seena Lane on October 13, succumbed to his injuries at JPMC. Police said the victim was an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Police registered an FIR 286/11 against unidentified men and initiated probe in this connection.
