Nuclear, biological weapons: government notifies revised control lists
The Government of Pakistan has notified revised control lists related to nuclear and biological weapons and their delivery systems, pursuant to the Export Control Act of 2004. As part of the regular review process, the Strategic Export Control Division of the Foreign Ministry has revised the control lists, in consultation with the relevant Ministries and Departments.
The lists have been notified under S.R.O 699(I)/2011 dated July 06, 2011. The original lists were notified in 2005 under the Export Control Act on Goods, Technologies, Material and Equipment related to Nuclear and Biological Weapons and their Delivery Systems. The notification signifies the continuing resolve and policy of Pakistan, as a responsible nuclear weapons state, to advance the shared goals of non-proliferation.-PR
