Taiwan stocks retreat

Taiwan stocks ended down 0.95 percent on Friday amid lingering concern that the euro zone crisis could hit financial companies and tech exporters. Investor sentiment turned cautious after the market staged a 3 percent rally in the four days to Thursday, boding ill for further upside.
The TAIEX index lost 70.25 points to 7,358.08, but finished this week with a 2 percent gain. Financial and electronics stocks were down 1.92 percent and 0.36 percent, respectively.
