Eight die in Kazakh oil reservoir fire

Eight contract workers died at a Kazakh oil storage facility Tuesday after a fire broke out during routine maintenance work, the state-owned KazTransOil oil transport company said in a statement. Workers were cleaning equipment at the company's Aktau oil pumping station in the country's south-west when the fire started for undetermined reasons, said the statement, quoted by the Interfax news agency.
