Four injured in PSF, IJT student groups' clash

An armed clash between the workers of Pakhtun Students Federation (PSF) and Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) at Swedish College left four students injured on Monday. According to police, all classes in the college were suspended when the workers of these student organisations charged each other with batons, rods and other lethal tools, leaving four students injured.
On being informed, the police rushed to the spot and arrested a worker of IJT namely Athar, while his other accomplices managed to flee from the scene. Police shifted the injured to nearby private hospital for treatment. However, the eyewitnesses said that although heavy contingents of police cordoned off the college for over an hour, they remained unsuccessful to get access inside the college. They said the police after prolonged negotiations with both students organisations brought situation under control. No case was registered till filing of this report.
