President Pakistan Muslim League (N), Mian Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that people who are bent upon exploiting the dengue virus issue for political gains would be disappointed. "Punjab government is making sincere efforts to control the viral disease," he said while talking to a group of party legislators in Punjab Assembly here.
Nawaz said that while the province is in a serious grip of the natural calamity in the shape of dengue, political rivals waste no opportunity to malign the party leadership. He said that Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif is sensing the gravity of the situation and making untiring efforts in to check the spread of the virus. He eulogised the role of doctors and other paramedics in extending facilities to the dengue patients. He advised people not to be panic and adopt precautionary measures to avert dengue fever. He welcomed public support to Punjab government and said that their co-operation enabled the government to 'fight the monster'. The PML-N chief advised the MPAs to continue serving patients with dedication and extend all possible help to them.
