Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister lays foundation stone of mega project worth Rs 833 billion
Chief Minister, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, on Saturday laid the foundation stone of mega development project worth Rs 833 billion here at Ring road in the city, according to plan construction of flyover, bridges and double road from Charsadda road to Pajagi would be carried out under the first phase.
Addressing the ceremony of ground breaking of Ring road south here, Chief Minister said that the initiation of mega development projects in Peshawar and different districts of the province has ample proof of delivering services to the masses along with fighting against the menace of terrorism.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government, Bashir Ahmad Khan Bilour, Provincial Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain and other high officials were present on the occasion. Hoti said that the development of Peshawar is the basic right of local, saying that there will be no restriction of resources.
Following the distribution of resources under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, and reimbursement of net-hydle profit money, he said that the province has available additional resources for delivering services to the masses. He recalled that the government has swelled ADP at 80 percent in the history of the province, adding that they have honoured commitment of "Akhpal Kharo Akhpal Akthyar".
"All political leadership and their parties are respectable for them, he added. He said that the world is much aware about their efforts in war against terrorism. He said that the renaming of Province as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, passage of 18th Constitutional Amendments, resolution of Net-hydle profit issue are the biggest achievement of the present government.
He claimed that the there was no existed political party, who has fulfilled its manifesto, but the ANP has followed its manifesto and completed under the leadership of President Asfandyar Wali Khan. He directed the authority to estimate construction of road from Pajagi to Warsak, which could be included in next financial budget. He expressed the hope that the construction and renovation of Arbab Sikandar Khan Khali, Mufti Mehmood Flyovers, and Ring road southern bypass, would be helpful to control growing traffic mess in the Peshawar city. About the initiatives for employment generation, he said the government had initiated various schemes for the purpose, saying the unemployment and illiteracy are the major cause of the difficulties and problems. He mentioned the special programmes, including Bacha Khan Akhpal Rozgar Scheme, Hunermand Rozgar Scheme and Rawaiti Hunermand Scheme, free technical education for youth and scholarships for outstanding students of schools.
