Newly-elected Chairman of Site Association of Industry (SAI), Mohammad Irfan Moton has expressed great satisfaction on the interest being taken by the Sachal Rangers on the specific direction of the Chief of Army Staff for providing protection to the industrialists and their workers against the crimes of snatching on gun point, robberies, extortions, kidnapping, looting of salaries etc.
In a press statement Irfan Moton informed that a meeting with the Area Commander of Sachal Rangers Brigadier Waseem Ayub was held in the SAI office on Friday to discuss the current law and order situation in West Zone of Karachi and especially in Site Industrial Area.
The Chairman and his team had taken a serious view of the worsening law and order situation in the area and after prolonged meetings/discussions and on site visits of the affected areas, finally decided the joint strategy with the Sachal Rangers. Brigadier Waseem assured the SITE Association office-bearers that Sachal Rangers is making serious liaison with the SITE Association of Industry and its law and order sub-committee by providing all kinds of support to the members of the SITE Association ensuring security against all criminal activities.
For this purpose Sachal Rangers has already established a complaint cell at SITE Stadium, where SITE area industrialists will lodge their complaints and Rangers officers will react immediately against the complaints. Brigadier Waseem Ayub instructed the 91st and 60th Wing Commanders to look after this complaint cell and report back to the Area Commander on a weekly basis. Brigadier Waseem requested the Chairman SAI, Mohammad Irfan Moton to inform the SITE Association members about this complaint cell and to provide them the telephone numbers of Complaint Centre and encourage them to report all such action promptly. Mohammad Irfan Moton appealed the members to avail this facility as it is in their own interest and keep the authorities concerned informed with day to day criminal activities in the area so that we and the Rangers can extend all possible help to them in curbing the crimes in the area and apprehending the culprits.-PR
