KCCI urges government to take action according to advice of Supreme Court
Siraj Kassam Teli, Chairman, Businessmen Group of KCCI, President, Office Bearers and B M Gians express their satisfaction and welcome the judgement given by the Supreme Court and urge the Government of Pakistan and Sindh to take action according to the suggestions and advice of the Honourable Chief Justice and the larger Bench of the Supreme Court.
It is indeed a time to think that the Supreme Court has taken great pain and brought out in the open every detail and causes of disruption of law and order in Karachi, and given directions according to the Constitution for rectification and has fixed the responsibility as well.
We the business and industrial community of Karachi expect that all the concerned political parties, Government of Sindh and the Law Enforcement Agencies must follow the law of the land in the judgement of the Supreme Court and this is the time to change and draw a line and burry the past and commit for the future.
We hope that from now onward there will be no strike calls and we expect: 1) The city of Karachi to be rid of illegal weapons. 2) The police will be depoliticised 3) Rangers will have powers for at least one year 4) All such legislations will be made to make sure the criminals are punished 5) Immediate stoppage of all unverified mobile phone sims and Chinese mobiles with same IMIE numbers 6) All licensed arms be registered with NADRA.-PR
