Mumtaz Qadri is undisputed hero of 180 million Pakistanis and court's verdict against him is highly regrettable, said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, addressing a big protest rally in front of Masjid-e-Khizra, Saddar, here on Friday.
He said that why the course of law moved at a snail's pace when it the matter of blasphemy accused Asia Bibi, and why a death sentence is issued speedily in Mumtaz Qadri's case, who killed a Salmaan Taseer for calling publicly Namoos-e-Risalat (Peace Be Upon Him) law a 'black law' and openly supported the blasphemy accused Asia Bibi. He reminded that the Pakistani Ulema had already given decree that Salmaan Taseer had committed blasphemy, adding Mumtaz Qadri only said yes to the voice of his conscience and discharged his moral duty.
