University of Sindh Friday issued a notification in connection with the disturbance created by a student wing of a political party at the campus and forcibly stopping of point buses at various routes of the city. In a statement, the registrar of the varsity, Akhtar Ahmed Memon said that on Friday, some miscreants forcibly stopped some point buses at various routes, which were plied to carry students, employees and teachers from the city to Jamshoro.
It was further stated that some miscreants fired at SU bus in Bhitai Town and beat the driver and cleaner. The windscreen and other parts of the bus got badly damaged while the driver and cleaner received injuries in the incident. In reaction to the incident, the employees of the varsity started protested. The registrar immediately rushed to the site and talked with employees and thus they called off the protest. The employees later met pro vice chancellor SU, Dr Parveen Shah and registrar at the office of the registrar and requested security to the employees of the transport section and demanded immediate legal action against the miscreants.
