Minister for rainwater drainage before monsoon

Sindh Minister for Fisheries, Zahid Ali Bhurgari who is also the chairman of district relief committee here has informed that drainage of storm water of Qasimabad into River Indus is being planned and the project would be executed and completed before the season of monsoon.
Presiding over a meeting of officers of line department at Qasimabad Monday, Bhurgari informed that the management of public health engineering department has been entrusted to prepare a scheme for the disposal of storm water from Qasimabad Indus River. Elaborating, he said that big sumps/tanks would be constructed along the bank of Indus River and linked with water carrier Fassadi Wah through which the water would be pumped out into Indus River. He said that they have the facilities to bring the water in reverse direction up-to Indus River and only a trench up-to 5,000 feet has to be excavated to link Fassadi Wah to Indus River.
