KESC CEO, two others booked under attempt to murder charges

Chief Executive Officer of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Tabish Gohar, security officer Colonel Wahid (Retd) and Colonel Asif Saeed (Retd) were booked on Thursday on charges of attempt to murder on the directives of a sessions court.
The court orders came after applicant Muhammad Bashir, a trade union leader of KESC Mazdoor Ittehad, filed a petition against the KESC CEO and two other security officers accusing them of attempt on his life when he had gone to the KESC office to demand the payment of his four months' salary on August 29, 2011. An FIR no. 376/2011 was registered against the CEO of KESC and security officials in Defence Police Station.
