Ayaz Soomro, Sindh Minister of Commerce and Industries on Tuesday announced to initiate crack down against the land grabbers to eradicate encroachment from industrial land allocated at industrial zones across Sindh. He ordered to the concerned authorities to take stern action against land grabbers and encroachment mafia.
He said some industrialists brought up the fact that influential persons are eating into government industrial land and involved in erecting encroachment in industrial zone with no fear. He, however, said the government is keen to protect every single inch of industrial land and vowed to remove all encroachments within a stipulated period of a week.
Presiding over a meeting at his SITE office Karachi, he also gave security assurance to the industrialists. Soomro said if necessary, the police and other agencies would be taken on board to kick off action against the land grabbers. He warned that those industrial lands and plots, which were provided to the industrialists for establishing production units, will never let be encroached.-PR
