Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said the government is committed to workout for welfare of the tribal people, saying the present system creates hurdles in this regard.
The ANP wants to representation of tribal people in the Provincial legislative assembly for steering them out from quagmire of the problems and their better and shining future, he said while talking to a delegation of Tribal Union of Journalists of Khyber agency led by President Mehboob Shah here on Tuesday.
The provincial minister said that the tribal people were not separate from us as not only our civilisation, culture, language, religion and belief were the same but we share our living and the occasions of joys and sorrows with each other but unluckily we have been separated from each other on administrative grounds".
He further said that they wanted to do a lot for the welfare of the tribal people but the present system creates hurdles in this way. Therefore, he said that the stance of our party was that the tribal people should have representation in the Provincial Assembly for steering them out from quagmire of the problems and their better and shining future.
Referring the problems of tribal journalists he assured that the government will discuss issues with the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, saying that the most of their problems would be resolved.
