Anti-agriculture policies of IMF and World Bank: KBP for creating awareness among masses
Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) has asked all its office-bearers across the country to launch a campaign for creating awareness among the masses about anti-agriculture policies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank.
Central President KBP Sardar Zafar Hussein and General Secretary Malik Muhammad Ramzan Rohari in a message to their members and leaders also urged them to unite the nation against the US and policies imposed by the international donor agencies. They claimed that farmers were annoyed at government for its anti-farmer and anti-agricultural policies.
They alleged that IMF, World Bank and other international monetary institutions force Pakistan's government to increase the prices of agricultural inputs like gas, fertiliser and pesticides etc. They said such policies and pressure to impose GST on agriculture were aimed at destroying country's agricultural economy.
