General Pasha leaves for Saudi Arabia

Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Lieutenant General Ahmad Shuja Pasha left for Saudi Arabia on Monday after the strained Pakistan-US ties following the latest US accusation that ISI supported Haqqani network in recent attacks in Afghanistan, local media reported.
Pakistan's top military commanders, who met on Sunday had proposed Pasha's visit to Saudi Arabia to brief the Saudi leaders on the Pakistan-US tension, reports said. Pakistan is likely to send envoys to other friendly countries in view of the tension with the US, sources said. Apart from diplomatic efforts, the government has also stepped up consultations with political leaders to seek their support.
