US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter has called on Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir at the Foreign Ministry on Monday to discuss Pak-US relationship. According to the details, the foreign secretary urged the US envoy to end the blame game against Pakistan. He said that intelligence information regarding Haqqani Network should be shared with Pakistan instead of hurling baseless allegations.
The Foreign Office has urged the US to stop levelling such charges against Pakistan. Munter was also told by the Foreign Office not to use media for sorting out bilateral issues, instead diplomatic sources should be used for this purpose. Munter said he would apprise US government of Pakistan viewpoints on the subject.
