International moot on food security from November 14

The National Institute of Food Science & Technology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), will organise an international conference on 'Emerging Issues in Food Safety, here from November 14 to 16. According to a spokesman of the UAF, the objective of this 3-day conference is to create awareness among various stakeholders about current advancements in the field of food safety.
He said that food experts and scholars have been asked to send their abstracts at eifs2011@yahoo.com or eifs2011@hotmail.com by September 30, if they want to submit their paper in the conference. Selection of abstracts would be held on October 5, while full papers can be submitted up to October 15. He said that registration of intending participants has been started, which would continue online till October 31.
He said that Faisalabad is very well connected with other cities in the country by air, rail and road. Flights operate daily between Faisalabad and Karachi. Alternatively, one may take international flight for Lahore or Islamabad, which are at 2 1/2 hours and 4 1/2 hours drive respectively, while many trains shuttle between Faisalabad and Lahore.
